Job summary

Qualifications

• ITI or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Experience independently overhauling pumps and compressors.
• Knowledge of mechanical seals, bearings, lubrication, and shaft alignment.
• Ability to use micrometers, vernier calipers, and dial gauges.
• Ability to communicate findings and prepare basic service reports.
• Willingness to work at customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Overhaul of rotating equipments such as industrial pumps and compressors.
• Service and overhaul compressors within the candidate’s area of experience.
• Inspect shafts, bearings, impellers, seals, couplings, and other internal components.
• Measure and record clearances, tolerances, and component wear.
• Replace mechanical seals, bearings, gaskets, and damaged parts.
• Perform shaft alignment using dial indicators or laser alignment equipment.
• Read technical drawings and follow manufacturer overhaul procedures.
• Troubleshoot vibration, leakage, overheating, and performance problems.
• Prepare inspection reports and identify spare parts required for repairs.
• Carry out workshop and site maintenance while following safety procedures.
