Job summary

Dorchester Collection’s Lana Dubai seeks an Ultimate Leaders Trainee in the Rooms Division to embark on a 12–18 month leadership journey through Front Office, Guest Relations, Concierge, Housekeeping and more.

You will be mentored by senior leaders, participate in a curriculum covering leadership styles, emotional intelligence, coaching and communication, and rotate across departments to build a future leadership career.

Responsibilities

• Rotate through key Rooms Division areas for 3–6 months each to develop a broad leadership foundation.
• Lead and contribute to projects improving guest journey and operational excellence in luxury hospitality.
• Work with Learning & Development to craft tailored development plans and mentorship throughout the programme.

What you’ll do

Our Rooms Division Ultimate Leaders will embark on a structured leadership development journey lasting 12 months with the possibility of extending up to 18 months rotating through key areas including Front Office Guest Relations Concierge Housekeeping Rooms Operations and other guest-facing functions for periods of 3 to 6 months Throughout the programme you will be encouraged to think and act like a future leader demonstrating initiative accountability and ownership while contributing to the success of your assigned departments During your journey you will be supported by a dedicated mentor who will provide guidance coaching and career development support as you begin your leadership career with The Lana Dorchester Collection You will participate in a comprehensive leadership development curriculum covering topics such as leadership styles emotional intelligence coaching feedback communication team engagement operational excellence and decision-making Connect and learn directly from our Senior Leadership Team and Executive Committee members through mentorship networking opportunities and leadership exposure designed to help you become a legendary leader Partner closely with our Learning amp Development team through regular one-to-one sessions workshops and tailored development plans to strengthen your leadership capabilities and business acumen Take responsibility for identifying opportunities to enhance operational excellence improve service delivery streamline processes and elevate standards across the Rooms Division Lead and contribute to projects focused on improving both the guest journey and employee experience bringing innovative ideas and practical solutions that contribute to operational success Play an active role in creating memorable and personalized guest experiences by anticipating guest needs resolving challenges proactively and delivering service excellence at every touchpoint Work on business-critical and development projects including operational improvement initiatives presenting recommendations and measurable outcomes to department leaders and key stakeholders Develop strong cross-functional relationships and collaborate with colleagues across the hotel to gain a comprehensive understanding of luxury hospitality operations and the guest experience ecosystem Upon successful completion of the Ultimate Leaders Programme high-performing candidates may be offered a permanent leadership opportunity within the Rooms Division and property based on business needs and individual performance The items shared are the essence of a day in the life of a ULP but we ll make sure you are provided with specifics on how we care for our hotel You are excited by the opportunity to develop into a future Rooms Division leader and are willing to step outside of your comfort zone to accelerate your personal and professional growth.
