Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai is seeking an RB&E Supervisor to lead the Restaurants, Bars & Experiences team on shifts, ensuring exceptional guest service and smooth outlet operations.

You will train colleagues, coach staff, and contribute to continuous improvements that enhance guest satisfaction and overall outlet performance. A hospitality-related degree and luxury-hotel experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree or Higher National Diploma in Hospitality/Hotel/Business Management preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a 5-star luxury hotel environment.
• Verbal and written communication skills in Arabic or other languages are preferred.

Responsabilités

• Lead each assigned shift from briefing through closing: allocate positions and duties, set priorities, monitor the pace of service, and support to maintain standards.
• Maintain excellent knowledge of the outlet concept, menus, beverages, promotions, and service standards; train colleagues accordingly.
• Direct, coach, and hold team members accountable for duties, service standards, punctuality, grooming, and conduct; address gaps promptly.
• Take the lead on regular team training, including briefings, product knowledge, service standards, and on-the-job coaching.
• Inspect guest-facing and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness, organization, and equipment readiness.

About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai within the Restaurants, Bars & Experiences Department, the RB&E Supervisor is responsible for leading the team during assigned shifts, ensuring exceptional guest service, operational readiness, and smooth day-to-day outlet operations. The role oversees colleague training and development, provides coaching and guidance, completes administrative responsibilities, and contributes to continuous improvements that enhance operational performance and the overall guest experience. The RB&E Supervisor reports to the Assistant Restaurant Manager.

As an RB&E Supervisor, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Maintain excellent knowledge of the outlet concept, menus, beverages, promotions, and service standards; explain them confidently to guests and train colleagues to do the same.
• Lead each assigned shift from briefing through closing: allocate positions and duties, set priorities, monitor the pace of service, and step in where needed to maintain standards.
• Maintain a great synergy between all outlets within Restaurants, Bars and Experiences as well as the Hotel overall to assure maximum efficiency.
• Inspect guest-facing and back-of-house areas before, during, and after service; ensure cleanliness, organization, equipment readiness, and prompt correction of deficiencies.
• Direct, coach, and hold team members accountable for their assigned duties, service standards, punctuality, grooming, and conduct; address gaps promptly and elevate recurring issues.
• Take the lead on regular team training, including briefings, product knowledge, service standards, role plays, and on-the-job coaching; record completion and check that learning is applied during service.
• Assign and verify side duties, opening and closing tasks, and shift handovers; follow up on unfinished work instead of leaving issues for the next shift.

As RB&E Supervisor, we expect from you:

• Degree or Higher National Diploma in Hospitality/Hotel/Business Management is preferred.
• Experience as Supervisor in a high-volume restaurant with highest levels of service is preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience working in a 5-star luxury hotel environment.
• Ability to understand guest needs and to deliver superior guest service.
• Verbal and written communication skills in Arabic or other languages are preferred.
• Proficiency with restaurant POS and cashiering procedures is required.
