Job summary

ADNOC Group in Abu Dhabi seeks a Reservoir Engineer - Simulation and Optimization to lead numerical reservoir models, integrate geological and production data, and assess development scenarios for large-scale oil and gas fields.

You will collaborate with geoscience, production, and subsurface teams, perform history matching, calibrate PVT/SCAL data, and contribute to field development planning and enhanced oil recovery screening.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in a relevant engineering discipline.

Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and run numerical reservoir simulation models for oil and gas fields.
• Perform basic history matching to align model behaviour with observed production and pressure.
• Evaluate development and production scenarios using simulation results to support decisions.
• Integrate geological, petrophysical, production, pressure, and fluid data into reservoir models with geoscience teams.
• Support reservoir characterization to improve understanding of properties and connectivity.
• Assist with fluid modelling and EOS calibration under supervision.
• Monitor simulation model performance and resolve convergence or data issues.
• Contribute to depletion strategies, waterflood, and recovery optimization studies.
• Apply reservoir engineering methods to reserves estimation and forecasting.
