Job Description
The Research Project Coordinator is expected to play a key role in supporting and coordinating the Office’s research activities, projects, and strategic initiatives. The role involves working closely with researchers and internal and external stakeholders to ensure the effective implementation of research projects, the successful execution of the Office’s strategic and operational plans, and the achievement of its objectives in line with approved timelines and institutional priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor the implementation of the Office’s strategic and operational plans, track progress against approved objectives and initiatives, and coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure timely execution.
- Monitor the Office’s Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), prepare periodic performance reports, and recommend corrective actions and improvement opportunities where appropriate.
- Coordinate and follow up on the administrative aspects of research projects throughout their planning, implementation, and completion phases.
- Provide administrative and operational support to researchers and project teams to facilitate the effective execution of research activities.
- Monitor project budgets, expenditures, and resource utilization to ensure compliance with the University's financial policies and procedures.
- Prepare quarterly and annual reports on the Office’s research activities, projects, and overall performance.
- Organize meetings related to research projects and strategic initiatives, prepare agendas and meeting minutes, and follow up on action items and recommendations.
- Coordinate with colleges, academic departments, administrative units, and external partners to support the implementation of research projects and collaborative initiatives.
- Assist in organizing the Office’s participation in scientific conferences, exhibitions, workshops, and other research-related events.
- Support the preparation of research proposals, collaboration agreements, and documentation required by funding agencies and research partners, when applicable.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Office’s administrative and operational processes to enhance efficiency and institutional effectiveness.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Director of Office.
Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree with comprehensive interpersonal and public communication skills.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team, as well as independently, with strong organizational and project management skills.
