Job summary

Remotedxb is seeking a senior security engineer to own platform and cloud security at scale in a fully remote setup. You will drive threat modeling, secure-by-default patterns, and collaborate with SRE and infrastructure to harden AWS, Kubernetes, and container workloads.

The role requires deep hands-on experience with cloud security, RBAC, IAM, and encryption, plus strong written communication for asynchronous teams.

Qualifications

• Senior-level experience in platform security, cloud security, or security engineering.
• Deep practical experience with AWS, Kubernetes, containers, and Linux security fundamentals.
• Experience in large cloud environments with multi-cluster Kubernetes or high-scale infrastructure teams.
• Ability to reason clearly about identity, networking, workload isolation, and runtime security.

Responsibilities

• Identify and reduce security risk across AWS, Kubernetes, containers, and platform infrastructure.
• Conduct threat modeling, architecture reviews, and risk assessments.
• Partner with infrastructure, platform, and SRE teams to design practical controls and secure-by-default patterns.
• Improve Kubernetes and container security including workload isolation, RBAC, and secrets management.
• Assess container runtime and Linux isolation risks.
• Strengthen AWS security posture across IAM, networking, and encryption.
• Build scalable mechanisms such as automation, guardrails, and detection frameworks.
