Job summary

SBS Student Activity in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a Senior Credit Collections Specialist to manage overdue accounts, negotiate settlements, and improve debt recovery across construction and commercial activities. This fully remote role requires strong negotiation and analytical skills and familiarity with UAE credit practices.

The ideal candidate has 5–8 years of experience in credit control or collections, proficient Excel/ERP skills, and the ability to collaborate with Finance,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 5–8 years of experience in credit control, debt collection, or accounts receivable.
• Experience in construction, contracting, or project-based businesses is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of collection strategies, credit risk assessment, and aging analysis.
• Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage collection activities for outstanding customer accounts and overdue invoices.
• Develop and implement collection strategies based on account risk, aging, and history.
• Contact customers to negotiate payment arrangements and secure timely settlements.
• Monitor aging reports, overdue balances, and collection performance.
• Coordinate with AR, Commercial, Contracts, and PM teams to resolve issues.
• Review credit limits, terms, and exposure per policy.
• Escalate high-risk accounts to management when needed.
• Maintain accurate records of communications and recovery actions.
• Prepare collection forecasts and management updates.
