Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of reliability methodologies including RCM, RCFA, and APM.

Reliability Engineer – Asset Performance

Role Overview

The Reliability Engineer supports proactive asset management by applying advanced reliability engineering techniques across plant operations. The role improves equipment availability and reduces unplanned failures through structured reliability studies and predictive maintenance approaches.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct root cause failure analysis to identify underlying issues and prevent recurrence.
  • Perform asset performance management and reliability‑centered maintenance studies.
  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies to shift from reactive to proactive operations.
  • Identify potential equipment failures using predictive tools and condition monitoring techniques.
  • Support brownfield and greenfield engineering projects to improve reliability and reduce lifecycle costs.
  • Maintain bad actor tracking systems and analyze recurring equipment issues.
  • Review equipment packages for new projects and recommend improvements and redundancy strategies.
  • Provide technical input for equipment upgrades, refurbishment, and obsolescence management.
  • Recommend modifications or replacements to resolve technical challenges.
  • Assist operational teams in developing monitoring techniques for real‑time equipment condition tracking.
  • Lead reliability initiatives across mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines.
Ideal Profile
  • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in reliability engineering within the oil & gas or petrochemical industry.
