Role Context The Regulatory Compliance Manager will provide end-to-end compliance oversight as Amazon Now expands its engineering infrastructure and operational footprint across the UAE. The role covers the complete project lifecycle, from initial due diligence and technical reviews through permit acquisition, facility launch, ongoing operations, and regulatory renewals. This position serves as a bridge between engineering teams, business functions, external consultants, project stakeholders, and government authorities. The manager will help identify regulatory requirements early, prevent compliance gaps from delaying projects, and create repeatable controls that support faster and more reliable expansion. The role also carries responsibility for interpreting complex technical and regulatory requirements, maintaining auditable documentation, and advising stakeholders when projects encounter uncertainty or competing compliance considerations.
Candidates should have at least five years of experience in compliance program management, governance, legal, audit, risk management, loss prevention, or an equivalent professional environment. A minimum of five years of program or project management experience is also required, reflecting the cross-functional nature of this position and the need to coordinate complex compliance activities across multiple project stages. The successful candidate should be comfortable reviewing detailed technical information, interpreting regulatory requirements, managing confidential information, and advising stakeholders where compliance expectations may not be immediately clear. Strong stakeholder management is essential. The role requires effective collaboration with engineering teams, Operations, external consultants, business partners, regulatory authorities, and senior decision-makers. Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to drive measurable improvements is preferred. A professional auditing qualification or another recognized risk, governance, or compliance credential would be advantageous.
