Job summary

Tether and its affiliated entities are seeking an organized self-starter to join our Regulatory and Licensing team, to lead efforts in the Middle East. The successful candidate has deep regulatory experience in the crypto-asset space and will translate policy objectives into practical regional requirements.

You will work with regulators and internal teams, report to the VP, and drive licensing, policy submissions, and cross-functional coordination to enable growth while ensuring compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years governmental/regulatory affairs experience in financial services or crypto in the Middle East.
• Proven ability to lead regulatory affairs teams and engage with regulators.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with ability to present to non-technical audiences.
• Strong stakeholder management across borders and time zones.

Responsibilities

• Monitor regulatory developments impacting the company in the region.
• Maintain relationships with policymakers, regulators, central banks, and FIUs.
• Lead licensing and authorization efforts with local advisors as required.
• Support regional product planning by advising on regulatory constraints and enablers.
• Prepare executive briefings on policy risks and trajectory.
