Job summary

ETRA Talent seeks a senior Compliance Officer and MLRO to lead regulatory compliance and financial crime frameworks for UAE digital-asset activities. The role covers FSRA/DFSA licensing, governance, and regulatory engagement across regulated businesses with VARA exposure.

The successful candidate will combine UAE regulatory knowledge with practical experience in digital assets or crypto-exchange operations, reporting to senior management and Board committees.

Qualifications

• University degree in law, finance, compliance, risk management or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end licensing, authorisation and variation-of-permission applications with FSRA, DFSA and VARA as applicable.
• Manage applications relating to digital assets and crypto-exchange activities.
• Act as the principal point of contact for regulatory submissions and post-authorisation supervision.
• Prepare and oversee compliance manuals, AML/CFT frameworks and governance documentation.
• Coordinate responses to regulatory inquiries, inspections and thematic reviews.
• Monitor licence conditions and regulatory commitments; oversee supervisory action plans.
