Job summary

Henkel UAE is seeking an experienced Tax Lead to drive regional tax optimization, ensure IFRS-aligned reporting, and maintain strong controls across the Gulf by navigating corporate income tax, VAT, and transfer pricing frameworks.

You will partner with Finance and business teams across multiple countries, lead tax policy implementations, support audits, and stay ahead of regulatory changes to safeguard compliance and value creation.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years working experience.
• University degree in Accounting, Tax, Finance, Economics or a related field.
• Relevant professional experience in Accounting and/or Tax, preferably in a multinational or Big Four environment.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting.
• Good practical knowledge of corporate taxation, indirect taxes and transfer pricing.
• Solid knowledge of tax accounting and IAS 12, including current and deferred taxes.
• Experience with statutory reporting, external audits and internal controls is an advantage.
• Experience working across multiple countries and jurisdictions is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a hands-on, pragmatic approach.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across countries and functions.

Responsibilities

• Drive tax optimization initiatives and identify opportunities to leverage incentives and efficiencies across the region.
• Ensure full compliance with direct and indirect tax regulations including corporate income tax, VAT, withholding tax, and other local tax requirements.
• Serve as the key contact for tax authorities, external advisors, audits, inspections, disputes, and inquiries.
• Lead accurate and timely tax reporting, filings, and disclosures for internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide expert tax guidance to the business and support the implementation of tax policies, processes, and governance standards.
• Partner on strategic projects including investments, restructurings, and system implementations to assess tax implications.
• Strengthen and monitor tax-related internal controls to ensure compliance, accuracy, and risk mitigation.
• Stay ahead of regulatory developments and lead implementation of new tax requirements across the region.
• Collaborate with Finance and business teams to align accounting, tax, and operational objectives.
• Support regional accounting activities and continuous process improvement initiatives.
