Responsibilities
  • Sets sales, margin and product targets along with the Finance Department on the company and store level
  • Plan, direct and coordinate product, space and sales activities aiming at maximizing sales and gross margin within the stores
  • Maintain purchases within budget in order to maintain a healthy stock rotation, with minimal write-offs
  • Recruit and train the team to ensure that the department has the necessary skill base and that staff are optimally motivated and enabled to maximize their potential and contribution to the company
  • Recommends addition/removal of product categories to be sold in the store and inspect merchandise to ensure that it is correctly priced, properly displayed and timely released
  • Analyze overall market trends in order to formulate the buying decisions of the department and to identify new opportunities and new target markets
  • Plan and organises events, prepares promotions, sales and special offers for the brand, in coordination with the Marketing department and the suppliers and attend trade shows to stay up to date with product line ups
  • Responds to market conditions like supply shortages, price changes, product lifecycle, model changes and business practices of competitors
  • Manage new and existing supplier relationships and conducts regular business reviews and negotiation with suppliers to ensure the alignment of business targets
  • Develops, implements and monitor brand’s specific policies and procedures to ensure high quality standards for sales, after-sales, rotation and loss
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration; MBA is a plus
  • 8 years of experience in multibrands retail
  • Fluency in English; Arabic is a plus
  • Proficiency in MS Office
