Job summary

EMIRATES GLOBAL ALUMINIUM (EGA) is seeking a Manager – Field Maintenance to lead maintenance execution across key refinery areas. This role is crucial in maintaining equipment reliability and supporting production targets while ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in engineering and substantial experience in a supervisory role within heavy industry. Effective communication, leadership, and a commitment to continuous improvement are essential for this position.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of maintenance experience in heavy industry, with at least 3 years in a supervisory/management role.
• Experience in alumina refinery or similar continuous-process operations is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of pump systems, refinery mechanical equipment and E&I systems is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute maintenance activities in key areas including Red Side Maintenance.
• Manage maintenance budgets and optimize resources for equipment availability.
• Oversee daily preventive and corrective maintenance execution.
• Ensure compliance with inspection programs and equipment integrity.
• Coordinate with teams to align maintenance execution with refinery priorities.
• Mentor and develop maintenance team members.
• Promote continuous improvement in maintenance practices and safety.

Skills

Strong understanding of refinery equipment

Proficiency in maintenance planning systems (SAP or CMMS)

Knowledge of API inspection codes and preventive/predictive maintenance practices

Excellent leadership and team management skills

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability

Effective communication and coordination across teams

Commitment to safety and continuous improvement

Education

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering

High School diploma/trade certification with extensive refinery maintenance experience
