The Recruitment Specialist is responsible for managing the full-cycle talent acquisition process for the company, with a primary focus on engineering and technical positions (civil, architectural, MEP) as well as general corporate roles. The role serves as a strategic partner to hiring managers, ensuring recruitment strategies align with business objectives, project needs, and organizational growth. The Specialist plays a key role in attracting high-caliber talent and delivering an exceptional candidate experience.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare clear, compelling job descriptions and post vacancies across appropriate platforms (company website, LinkedIn, job boards, etc.).
- Tailor outreach strategies to maximize visibility and attract qualified candidates for each role.
- Proactively source high-quality talent using LinkedIn Recruiter, online platforms, referrals, professional networks, and recruitment agencies when needed.
- Build and maintain strong talent pipelines for technical and niche engineering positions.
- Conduct targeted headhunting to attract passive candidates and promote the company’s employer brand.
Screening & Shortlisting
- Review resumes to shortlist candidates based on technical, behavioral, and role-specific requirements.
- Conduct initial phone/video screenings to assess qualifications, technical fit, and cultural alignment.
Interview Coordination & Assessment
- Coordinate and schedule interviews with hiring managers for in-person and virtual formats.
- Support hiring teams with best-practice interviewing methods, including competency-based assessments.
- Assist in evaluating candidates’ technical competencies and overall suitability.
Candidate Experience Management
- Ensure timely, professional communication with candidates at every stage of the recruitment cycle.
- Provide constructive feedback and uphold a positive and respectful candidate experience.
Offer Management & Negotiation
- Collaborate with hiring managers to select final candidates.
- Facilitate offer discussions, pre-close candidates, and negotiate within approved salary bands.
- Conduct reference checks and oversee pre-employment requirements to ensure smooth hiring and high offer acceptance rates.
Onboarding Coordination
- Coordinate with HR and administrative teams to facilitate pre-joining processes in line with UAE regulations.
- Confirm start dates and assist in new hire orientation to ensure effective integration into the company.
ATS Management & Reporting
- Maintain accurate and updated records in the Applicant Tracking System and HR databases.
- Track recruitment metrics (e.g., time-to-fill, source of hire, acceptance rates) and prepare reports for management.
- Use data insights to refine recruitment strategies and support departmental KPIs.
Compliance & Best Practices
- Ensure all recruitment activities comply with company policies, ISO standards, and UAE labor laws.
- Maintain confidentiality, ethical conduct, and high-quality documentation throughout the recruitment cycle.
- Stay informed of market trends, labor law updates, and talent acquisition best practices.
REQUIREMENTS
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of recruitment/talent acquisition experience, preferably within engineering, construction, or related technical industries.
- Proven success in recruiting engineering and architectural roles.
- Strong knowledge of modern assessment techniques (competency-based interviews, technical tests, reference checks).
- Proficiency in ATS platforms, LinkedIn Recruiter, and online sourcing tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Good understanding of UAE labor laws, visa procedures, and regional hiring practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in Arabic or other languages commonly used in the UAE.
- Previous experience within an engineering consultancy or project-based organization in the GCC.
- Master’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related discipline (advantageous but not required).
- Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills.
- Ability to understand technical job requirements and assess engineering competencies effectively.
- Advanced sourcing and networking skills, including Boolean search and social media recruiting.
- Skilled in structured interviewing and assessment methods.
