Job summary

NMC Royal Hospital in Sharjah is seeking a knowledgeable RCM Officer – Submission & Resubmission to ensure precise coding and timely claim submission. You will verify eligibility, upload e-claims, and collaborate with clinicians to rectify documentation and maximize first-pass payments.

The role requires 2+ years in a similar RCM position, nursing/pharmacy/physiotherapy background, and relevant ICD/CPT credentials. On-site work with a focus on accuracy and compliance in billing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing, pharmacy, physiotherapy, or related field; certification preferred as per policy.
• AAPC/AHIMA certification preferred or mandatory per hospital policy.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar RCM role.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate ICD-10-CM, CPT/HCPCS coding for IP/OP claims with highest specificity.
• Capture eligibility and authorization verification details in the bill for proper payment.
• Meet daily targets for OP/IP submissions and manage e-claims through regulator portals.
• Analyze CPT code variations, coordinate with clinicians for documentation fixes.
• Assist in coding for newly added services and manage claim resubmissions with proper documentation.
• Review denials, perform root-cause analysis, and resubmit claims with remarks in the EMR.
• Prepare denial and submission reports; support training on ICD/CPT coding and compliance.
