Job summary

Mediclinic Welcare Hospital in Dubai is seeking a Billing and Coding specialist to process invoices and ensure timely submission to insurers and private payers. You will work under quality standards and company policies to support accurate billing.

The role requires at least 1 year in a healthcare billing environment, familiarity with billing/coding rules, and strong English communication. A high school diploma is required; coding certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma (Grade 12) is required.
• Coding certification will be an advantage.
• Preference given to designated groups under the UAE Emiratization program.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage the quality and accuracy of invoices.
• Ensure that bills are accurate and submitted to insurance companies or private companies within the stipulated time frame.
• Ensure that system is updated with payments and dispatched bills and outstanding balances are identified.
• Ensure that all bills are submitted for payment and final reconciliation statements ready within stipulated time frame.

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To process the bills/claims generated on credit base and cash bills per set targets for submission to insurance companies and private payers according to quality standards and company policies

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

To monitor and manage the quality and accuracy of invoices

To ensure that bills are accurate and submitted to insurance companies or private companies within the stipulated time frame

To ensure that system is updated with payments and dispatched bills and outstanding balances are identified

To ensure that all bills are submitted for payment and final reconciliation statements ready within stipulated time frame

REQUIRED EDUCATION

A high school diploma (Grade 12)

Coding certification will be an advantage

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

At least 1 year experience in accounts or a RCM billing environment preferably in healthcare

REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

• Billing and coding regulations
• Computer Literacy (Mircosoft)
• Verbal and written communication skills in English
• Basic medical terminology
