Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong foundation in soil mechanics, investigation, and ground behavior.
• Experience interpreting investigation data to support defensible design.
• Experience with geotechnical analysis software and technical reporting tools.
• Rail projects experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and support geotechnical site investigations for rail and infrastructure.
• Review geological and geotechnical information before fieldwork.
• Interpret borehole data, soil tests, and groundwater information.
• Evaluate ground conditions and influence on design and foundations.
• Develop recommendations for shallow/deep foundations and ground improvement.
• Support settlement, bearing capacity, and slope stability analyses.
• Collaborate with civil/structural teams and project management.
• Prepare geotechnical reports and ensure design drawings reflect assumptions.
• Monitor construction to verify geotechnical requirements.
• Identify geotechnical hazards and mitigation measures.
