Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Civil Surveyor to provide setting‑out, control and as‑built survey support for the civil works construction team. Role covers establishing site control from start to handover, with continuous survey input and coordination across QA/QC processes.

The candidate will work with total station, GNSS, levels, and AutoCAD Civil 3D, ensuring compliance with design data and project standards in a UAE/Middle East context.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of construction/site surveying experience.
• Proficiency with survey instruments (total station, GNSS/GPS, levels) and survey/CAD software (AutoCAD Civil 3D).
• Middle East / UAE experience is highly advantageous.
• Rail or major infrastructure project experience is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain survey control points, benchmarks and reference grids.
• Set out alignments, levels, gridlines and reference points for earthworks, structures, drainage and buildings.
• Carry out routine and specialized surveys — topographic, cross‑section and volume/quantity surveys.
• Verify and check the setting‑out of contractor survey teams prior to construction of key elements.
• Carry out as‑built surveys to verify constructed works conform to design and tolerances.
• Prepare as‑built drawings and survey records to support QA/QC and handover documentation.
• Support monitoring surveys — settlement, deformation and alignment checks — for structures and earthworks.
