Job summary

Sigma Specialized Inspection SSI is seeking a Radiography Technician NDT with ASNT Level II or BARC Level 1 certification. The role involves performing radiography inspections, interpreting codes and standards, and reporting results to the operations team in Abu Dhabi.

The ideal candidate has at least three years post-qualification experience, strong communication skills in English, and a commitment to HSEQ standards while working at client sites in the UAE.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years post-qualification work experience as a qualified and certified ASNT Level II NDT technician or BARC Level 1.
• ASNT Level II Radiography experience certificate or BARC Level 1 certification is mandatory.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Follow approved NDT test methods, procedures and work instructions per project requirements.
• Carry out Radiography inspection as per client code, standard and SSI procedure.
• Interpret industrial codes, standards and specifications.
• Document inspection results and prepare inspection reports in the company system.
• Ensure good housekeeping and safety at site while performing duties.

Designation

Job Objective

- To support the operation department with a designated NDT scope of work as per the company s requirementTo maintain health and safety standards within the SSI HSEQ department

Key Responsibilities

• Follow approved NDT test methods techniques procedures and work instructions as per project requirements and company policy
• Carry out Radiography inspection as per client code standard SSI Procedure
• Interpret Industrial codes standards and specifications
• Documentation and reporting of the result in a proper manner with the company s reporting system

• Follow the operation and job instructions as per practice
• Interpret the Radiography films after processing and reporting to operations
• Carry out MT PT Hardness test as per the operations requirement when required after necessary training RPO certification will be an added advantage
• Document inspection results and prepare inspection reports
• Clean parts materials prior to inspection and after completion
• Ensure good housekeeping in the immediate workplace and surrounding premises
• Always follow the safety and FANR rules during performing the jobs at the site

Specialized Knowledge
