Job summary

Sigma Specialized Inspection (SSI) in Abu Dhabi's Musaffah Industrial Area is seeking an Advanced NDT Technician specializing in PAUT and TOFD. The role requires PCN certification and at least five years of experience in non-destructive testing, with hands-on use of PAUT, TOFD, MPI, LPI, and UT methods.

You will interpret inspection results, ensure adherence to industrial codes, prepare detailed reports, and maintain safe, organized work areas.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of work experience as PCN Certified in PAUT, TOFD Technician.
• Experience in NDT equipment and familiar with manual, computerized reporting
• Good communication skills written and verbal – Mandatory requirement

Responsibilities

• Perform tube & Tank inspection and interpretation of IRIS, RFT, ECT, MFL, SECT.
• Perform inspection and interpretation of PAUT and TOFD.
• Carry out MPI if qualified.
• Carry out LPI if qualified
• Carry out UT if qualified
• Interpret Industrial codes, standards, and specifications
• Review inspection results to determine if acceptable.
• Interpret IRIS, RFT, ECT, PAUT, MFL and determine if acceptable.
• Carry out visual inspections.
• Follow approved test methods, techniques, procedures and work instructions.
• Document inspection results and prepare inspection reports.
• Clean parts/materials prior to inspection and after the completion
• Ensure good housekeeping in the immediate workplace and surrounding premises

Key Responsibilities/Duties :-

• Perform tube & Tank inspection and interpretation of IRIS, RFT, ECT, MFL, SECT.

• Perform inspection and interpretation of PAUT (Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing) and TOFD (Time of Flight Diffraction)..

• Carry out Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) if qualified.

• Carry out Liquid Penetrant Inspection (LPI) if qualified

• Carry out Ultrasonic Testing (UT) if qualified

• Interpret Industrial codes, standards, and specifications

• Review inspection results to determine if acceptable.

• Interpret IRIS, RFT, ECT, PAUT, MFL and determine if acceptable.

• Carry out visual inspections.
