Job summary

Oceaneering Integrity Management and Digital Solutions (IMDS) in the UAE invites applications for an NDT Inspector. You will perform VT, UT, MT, PT, RT, and ET on components to verify conformity with specifications and acceptance criteria.

Role requires NDT training per SNT-TC-1A, with progression to SNT Level II after on-site experience. Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering preferred; UAE driving license desirable. Adheres to Oceaneering HSSEQ and client requirements.

Qualifications

• NDT training shall be undertaken during the secondment period, in accordance with SNT-TC-1A requirements.
• Advancement to SNT Level II will follow upon satisfactory completion of on-site experience.

Responsibilities

• Undertake Visual Testing (VT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Penetrant Testing (PT), Radiographic Testing (RT), and Eddy Current Testing (ET) on components requiring inspection.
• Ensure work area is safe to carry out NDT activities and perform risk assessments as required.
• Produce a clear and concise report detailing methods used and results of inspections, noting limitations/test restrictions where applicable.
• Execute work in accordance with Oceaneering procedures, client specifications, and HSSEQ management systems.

Job Description

Purpose

To perform Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) techniques on components, pipework and structural assemblies to assess compliance with applicable specifications and acceptance criteria.

Responsibilities

Functions

ESSENTIAL [Post NDT Training]

• Undertake Visual Testing [VT], Ultrasonic Testing [UT], Magnetic Particle Testing [MT], Penetrant Testing [PT], Radiographic Testing [RT], Eddy Current Testing {ET] techniques to components requiring inspection.
• Ensure that work area is safe to carry out NDT activities.
• Undertake Risk Assessments/Take 2 as required.
• Ensure inspection is undertaken within the parameters of the applicable specification.
• Perform routine equipment / consumable function tests to ensure everything is in good working order. Any issues must be reported directly to supervision.
• Evaluate results of the test in accordance with applicable specification.
• Produce a clear and concise report detailing the methods used in and results of the inspection and all finding noting any limitations / test restrictions is applicable.
• Undertake work in a timely and efficient manner to meet deadlines, changing priorities when the situation requires
• Undertake work in accordance with Oceaneering & Client operating procedures and statutory/client specifications and requirements.
• Undertake any other duties of a reasonable nature as required by Oceaneering Management
• Execute work in accordance with Oceaneering Health, Safety, Security, Environmental and Quality Systems.

NON-ESSENTIAL

• Assist with any other duties as directed by Oceaneering Management.
• Undertake specific projects as directed by Oceaneering Management.

Safety

Ensure full understanding and adherence to both Oceaneering and Client Safety Policies and Procedures, as far as reasonably practicable to maintain a safe and compliant working environment.

Other

Carry out all duties in compliance with Oceaneering’s Health, Safety, Security, Environmental and Quality (HSSEQ) Management Systems.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• This position has NO direct supervisory responsibilities.
