Job summary

Sigma Specialized Inspection (SSI) is seeking a qualified NDT Technician with ASNT Level IIRadiography certification to join our Abu Dhabi operations. You will perform radiography inspections, interpret codes and standards, and document results in our reporting system.

Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience required, with BAR C Level 1 as an alternative. Fluency in English and strict adherence to safety rules are essential for on-site work with SSI clients.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years post-qualification work experience as a qualified ASNT Level II NDT technician.
• Proficient in Radiography inspection and interpretation of industrial codes and standards.
• Experience with MT/PT/Hardness tests and reporting in a formal system.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication; safety-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Follow approved NDT test methods and procedures per project requirements.
• Carry out Radiography inspection as per client standards and SSI procedures.
• Document inspection results and prepare inspection reports in the company system.
• Ensure good housekeeping and strict safety adherence on site.

Reports to:-

Operations Coordinator and Operations Lead

Job Objective:-

• To support the operation department with a designated NDT scope of work as per the company's requirement
• To maintain health and safety standards within the SSI HSEQ department

Key Responsibilities / Duties:-

• Follow approved NDT test methods, techniques, procedures, and work instructions as per project requirements and company policy.
• Carry out Radiography inspection as per client/code/standard/SSI Procedure
• Interpret Industrial codes, standards, and specifications. Documentation and reporting of the result in a proper manner with the company's reporting system. Documentation and reporting of the result in a proper manner with the company's reporting system.
• Follow the operation and job instructions as per practice
• Interpret the Radiography films after processing and reporting to operations.
• Carry out MT/PT/Hardness test as per the operations requirement when required, after necessary training.
• RPO certification will be an added advantage
• Document inspection results and prepare inspection reports
• Clean parts/materials prior to inspection and after completion
• Ensure good housekeeping in the immediate workplace and surrounding premises
• Always follow the safety and FANR rules during performing the jobs at the site

Specialized Knowledge:-

• Experience with Radiography equipment

Ability & Skills:-

• Good communication skills in English, written and verbal – Mandatory requirement

Experience:-

• Minimum 3 years post-qualification work experience as a Qualified and certified ASNT Level II NDT technician
• Or Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) Level 1

Academic Qualifications:-

• Minimum Higher Secondary School
• ASNT Level II Radiography experience certificate – Mandatory requirement
• Or Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) Level 1
