Job summary

Zenner Middle East DWC-LLC seeks an R&D Engineer to support development, testing, validation and continuous improvement of metering products and smart IoT solutions. You will evaluate new technologies, perform product testing, investigate issues and coordinate with Product Management, Sales and external manufacturers to enhance reliability for regional requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Instrumentation, Mechatronics or related discipline.
• Experience in R&D, product testing, product engineering, instrumentation, metering or IoT technologies.
• Understanding of metrology, measurement accuracy, calibration, verification and testing procedures.
• Familiarity with AMR/AMI, smart meters, IoT connectivity and system integration desirable.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, coordination and technical reporting skills.

• Conduct product performance testing, technical verification, troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.

ZENNER Middle East is looking for an R D Engineer to support the development testing validation and continuous improvement of metering products and smart IoT solutions The role will involve evaluating new technologies conducting product and performance testing investigating technical issues and coordinating with Product Management Sales IoT and external manufacturers to enhance product reliability and suitability for regional requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Research and evaluate new technologies metering products communication systems and IoT solutions
• Support the development testing and validation of water electricity thermal energy and smart metering products as applicable
• Conduct product performance testing technical verification troubleshooting and root-cause analysis
• Evaluate measurement accuracy reliability durability and compliance with applicable technical standards
• Support prototype development proof-of-concept testing and product improvement initiatives
• Work with the IoT team on communication technologies connectivity interoperability and system integration
• Coordinate with manufacturers and suppliers on technical specifications product modifications and quality issues
• Support product certification regulatory compliance and technical documentation for UAE and GCC markets
• Prepare test reports validation results technical documentation and recommendations for product improvement
• Collaborate with Product Management and Sales to assess customer requirements and develop technically suitable solutions

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Instrumentation, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related discipline
• Relevant experience in R&D, product testing, product engineering, instrumentation, metering, or IoT technologies
• Understanding of metrology, measurement accuracy, calibration, verification, and testing procedures
• Knowledge of sensors, embedded systems, communication protocols, or electronic measurement devices is an advantage
• Familiarity with AMR/AMI, smart meters, IoT connectivity, and system integration is desirable
• Ability to analyze technical problems, conduct structured testing, and document findings
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, coordination, and technical reporting skills
• Preferred Industry Background: Smart metering, instrumentation, industrial electronics, energy management, IoT devices, utility technology, or measurement systems
