Quantity Surveyor role supports AECOM's pre-contract operations across major infrastructure projects in Dubai, focusing on accurate cost estimation, tender documentation, value engineering, and procurement support.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for infrastructure projects including roads, bridges, and utilities
• Develop and analyze bills of quantities for tender submissions
• Review and evaluate contractor tenders and prepare tender documentation
• Assist with procurement strategies and contract document preparation
• Conduct value engineering to achieve cost-efficient design solutions
• Undertake detailed quantity measurements for cost plans and BOQs
• Implement and monitor cost control procedures at pre-contract stage
• Prepare viability studies and detailed estimates for budgeting purposes
• Support financial claim assessments and variation evaluations
• Prepare and negotiate change orders with clients and contractorsConduct market rate benchmarking, tender return analysis, and database updates
• Collaborate with design teams to ensure accuracy and cost alignment
• Provide input for contract administration and documentation

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related discipline
• Minimum 3 years' experience in pre-contract QS for infrastructure projects
• Professional certification (RICS or equivalent) is an advantage
• Strong command of cost estimation tools, ideally CostX
• Excellent numerical, analytical, and reporting capabilities
• Strong understanding of infrastructure costing, tendering, and procurement
• Knowledge of UAE construction regulations and standards
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
