As a QS Manager you will lead and manage the Quantity Surveying function, ensuring accurate cost planning, budgeting, tendering, procurement, and commercial control across high-end fit-out, joinery, aluminium, glass, and interior finishing projects. The role will oversee the QS team, monitor project budgets and cost performance, manage variations and valuations, identify value-engineering opportunities, and provide accurate commercial reports to support management decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the QS team: assign tasks, set priorities, review outputs for accuracy, and coordinate approvals with the manager before releasing any documents or submissions
- Familiar with high-end joinery in residential and office environments, ability to create clear component level BOQs and lists of raw materials required to complete the project.
- Familiar with all major aluminium and glass manufacturers available in the local market - (products and commercial rates)
- Familiar with all types of interior finishing materials popular in the local market - (products and commercial rates)
- Having a clear understanding of the installation process and manpower requirements for the fit-out projects.
- Ability to extract and prepare clear tender packages for subcontracted disciplines such as Joinery, Aluminium, Glass, and flooring. ETC
- Monitor budget tracker for every contract item and track cost performance against approved budgets
- Identify cost variations and support valuation of changes during project execution
- Ability to recognize and suggest value-engineering options in the tender stage as we well as in post-contracts.
- Support preparation of commercial reports and financial summaries for management decision-making
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Dubai-based fit-out company(s)
- Immediate Joiners Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Strong UAE construction/main contracting experience.
- Expertise in BOQ, estimation, cost control, variations, claims, EOT, and final accounts.
- Must be having an experience form both Post and pre-Contract.
- Strong negotiation, commercial, analytical, and reporting skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and QS/commercial software.
