Job summary

SAM Building Contracting (L.L.C) in Dubai is seeking a qualified Quantity Surveyor with 4–5 years of GCC experience, preferably in the UAE, to join our contracting team.

You will be responsible for quantity take-offs, cost control, invoicing, and handling variations and contractual claims, while coordinating with site and procurement teams to ensure projects stay on budget.

The ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering degree and can work under pressure to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 4–5 years GCC experience, preferably in UAE construction.
• Strong knowledge of quantity surveying, cost control, project invoicing, variations and claims management.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications.
• Develop BOM and cost estimates.
• Analyze drawings and contract documents for project requirements.
• Monitor project costs and maintain cost reports.
• Prepare, evaluate, and negotiate variation orders.
• Prepare contractual claims and EOT supporting documentation.
• Verify subcontractor measurements and payment certificates.
• Monitor project budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Coordinate with site and procurement teams on commercial matters.
• Maintain accurate records of project costs, variations and claims.

Key Responsibilities

Post-Contract Quantity Surveying

• Prepare contractual claims extensions of time EOT and supporting documentation

• Track project expenditures against approved budgets
• Coordinate with site team and procurement team regarding commercial matters
