Position Overview

The Quantity Surveyor role at Azizi Developments in Dubai is responsible for managing commercial and cost control activities on construction projects, ensuring accurate valuation, contract compliance, and effective cash flow management from award through final account.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage overall site quantity surveying activities including certification of contractor payment applications
• Review and finalize contractor bills of quantities in line with contract documents, fair market pricing, and proper price distribution
• Verify interim payment applications in coordination with site and planning teams prior to certification within finance and audit timelines
• Prepare anticipated project-wise payment forecasts to support cash flow planning and management reporting
• Administer variations, prime cost items, provisional sums, EOTs, claims, liquidated damages, bonds, and insurances in accordance with FIDIC Conditions of Contract Fourth Edition 1987
• Review contractor statements of completion and final accounts and certify retention releases as per contract terms
• Maintain NCR contra charge logs and ensure accurate deductions from contractor payments
• Provide commercial advice to senior management to support dispute resolution with contractors and nominated subcontractors
• Establish procedures for direct payments to nominated contractors where applicable
• Assist in preparation of contractual correspondence and formal communications
• Maintain accurate logs of payments, variations, EOTs, and contractual adjustments
• Perform additional duties as directed by senior management

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying
• Strong experience in quantity surveying and commercial management on construction projects
• Sound knowledge of FIDIC-based contracts and cost control procedures
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications
• RICS certification is an advantage
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
