Job summary

Skilled Careers, supporting a residential fit-out contractor in Dubai, seeks an experienced QS/Estimator to join the commercial team. The role covers pre- and post-contract commercial activities, from tender pricing and estimating through variations, valuations and final accounts.

The ideal candidate has 5–10 years in Dubai fit-out/construction, strong interior/residential experience, and proven tendering skills. Salary up to AED 20,000 per month.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years experience as a QS or Estimator within Dubai fit-out/construction.
• Strong interior/residential fit-out experience.
• Proven experience in tender pricing and estimating.
• Strong knowledge of BOQs and quantity take-offs.
• Good understanding of UAE material and labour rates.
• Experience managing variations, claims and final accounts.
• Experience with interim payment applications and subcontractor valuations.
• Strong commercial and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication skills with clients, consultants and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate tenders, BOQs and detailed cost estimates.
• Carry out quantity take-offs from drawings and site measurements.
• Analyse drawings, specifications and project requirements.
• Obtain, review and compare supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Prepare detailed pricing and tender submissions.
• Monitor project costs and commercial performance.
• Manage variations, claims and additional works.
• Prepare interim payment applications.
• Manage subcontractor valuations and payments.
• Assist with final accounts and project close-out.
• Maintain accurate cost reports and commercial documentation.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Provide commercial input throughout the project lifecycle.

I'm currently supporting a residential fit-out contractor in Dubai who are looking to appoint an experienced QS / Estimator to join their commercial team.

Salary: up to AED 20,000 per month

The Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in interior fit-out and will be responsible for both pre- and post-contract commercial activities, from tender pricing and estimating through to variations, valuations and final accounts.
