Job summary

Skilled Careers in Dubai is seeking a QS / Estimator with strong interior fit-out experience to join its commercial team on residential projects. The role covers pre- and post-contract commercial activities, tender pricing, BOQs, take-offs, valuations and final accounts, with liaison to clients, consultants and subcontractors.

You will contribute to cost control, pricing submissions and project close-out. The ideal candidate has 5–10 years in Dubai fit-out/construction and excellent negotiation

Qualifications

• 5–10 years’ experience as a QS/Estimator in Dubai fit-out/construction.
• Strong interior/residential fit-out experience.
• Proven tender pricing and estimating ability.
• Knowledge of BOQs and quantity take-offs.
• Understanding UAE material and labour rates.
• Experience with interim payments, variations and final accounts.
• Excellent communication with clients, consultants and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate tenders, BOQs and detailed cost estimates.
• Carry out quantity take-offs from drawings and site measurements.
• Analyse drawings, specifications and project requirements.
• Obtain, review and compare supplier and subcontractor quotations; prepare detailed pricing and tender submissions.
• Monitor project costs and commercial performance.
• Manage variations, claims and additional works.
• Prepare interim payment applications and manage subcontractor valuations.
• Assist with final accounts and project close-out.
• Maintain accurate cost reports and commercial documentation.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors; provide commercial input throughout the project lifecycle.

QS / ESTIMATOR | INTERIOR FIT-OUT | DUBAI

Salary: up to AED 20,000 per month

I’m currently supporting a residential fit-out contractor in Dubai who are looking to appoint an experienced QS / Estimator to join their commercial team.

The Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in interior fit-out and will be responsible for both pre- and post-contract commercial activities, from tender pricing and estimating through to variations, valuations and final accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate tenders, BOQs and detailed cost estimates
• Carry out quantity take-offs from drawings and site measurements
• Analyse drawings, specifications and project requirements
• Obtain, review and compare supplier and subcontractor quotationsPrepare detailed pricing and tender submissions
