Job summary

Rowad Modern Engineering seeks a Quantity Surveyor to manage cost control, budgeting, contract administration, variations and commercial management across ongoing construction projects. You will assist with BOQs, take-offs, cost reports and tender pricing, coordinating with procurement, planning, engineering and site teams.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of QS experience, UAE construction familiarity, and a civil engineering or related degree, with strong Excel and MS Office skills and good

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor / QS Engineer.
• UAE construction experience is mandatory.
• Good knowledge of BOQ, quantity take-off, estimation and cost control.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and reviewing BOQs and cost estimates.
• Assist with quantity take-offs and measurements from drawings.
• Support the preparation of project budgets and cost reports.
• Monitor project costs and assist in keeping projects within budget.
• Assist in preparing variation orders and claims.
• Support payment applications and subcontractor valuations.
• Review drawings, specifications, and BOQs for quantity discrepancies.
• Assist with tender pricing and commercial comparisons.
• Maintain records of costs, quantities, payments and variations.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Planning, Engineering, and Site teams.
• Support the Senior QS/QS Manager in commercial and contractual activities.
• Assist in preparing regular cost reports and financial updates.

Role Summary

Job Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor / QS Engineer.
• UAE construction experience is mandatory.
• Experience in construction projects is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of BOQ, quantity take-off, estimation, and cost control.
• Basic understanding of variations, claims, payments, and subcontractor valuations.
• Basic knowledge of FIDIC contracts is a plus.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
• Good analytical and numerical skills.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
