Job summary

al-majid is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections across raw materials, components, and finished products to ensure adherence to drawings and customer specs.

The role requires a Diploma or Bachelor's in Mechanical/Industrial/Civil Engineering or Manufacturing, with 3–5 years in a manufacturing setting; experience in joinery or furniture fabrication is preferred. ISO 9001 familiarity and strong documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, Manufacturing or related discipline.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a QC Inspector in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in joinery, furniture manufacturing, metal fabrication, interior fit-out, or construction materials preferred.
• Knowledge of inspection and testing procedures.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct incoming inspections of raw materials and purchased components to verify compliance with specifications.
• Perform in-process inspections during manufacturing to ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Inspect finished products before dispatch to ensure they meet drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
• Verify dimensions, workmanship, finishes, and assembly quality using measuring tools and inspection equipment.
• Identify, record, and report non-conforming materials or products, and follow up on corrective actions.
• Prepare inspection reports, quality records, and non-conformance reports (NCRs).
• Coordinate with production, engineering, and warehouse teams to resolve quality-related issues.
• Monitor manufacturing processes and recommend improvements to enhance product quality.
• Conduct final inspections prior to packaging and delivery.
• Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of inspection tools and measuring equipment.
• Participate in internal audits and support external quality audits.
• Maintain accurate quality documentation and inspection records.
• Ensure compliance with company quality standards, ISO requirements, and health and safety.
