Tanqeeb is seeking a QA/QC Inspector to bring deep hands-on material and process expertise to lead inspection of joinery production and site works, and to build the QA/QC function itself—establishing SOPs, inspection manuals, and quality systems.

The role represents QA/QC to clients and consultants, driving measurable reduction in non-conformances, rework, and wastage across the Joinery Division, while mentoring junior inspectors and contributing to R&D on material options.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in engineering or quality.
• 10+ years QA/QC in joinery, fit-out, or furniture manufacturing.
• Deep knowledge of joinery materials, quality standards, NCR/CAPA, and ISO 9001.
• Experience developing SOPs, manuals, or quality systems for QA/QC teams.
• Interest in materials R&D and evaluating new materials/finishes.

Responsibilities

• Lead inspection of joinery production and site works, from raw material to installation.
• Own the NCR process end-to-end: root-cause analysis, corrective/preventive actions, closure tracking.
• Develop and roll out QA/QC SOPs, inspection checklists, and quality manuals.
• Verify supplier/subcontractor materials against specs and samples.
• Host inspections for clients/consultants and present quality data.
• Lead quality closeout at handover, snagging and final documentation.
• Mentor junior QC inspectors on technical standards and inspection discipline.
• Contribute to R&D by exploring alternative materials/finishes.

Job description

The QA/QC Inspector brings deep, hands-on material and process expertise to lead inspection of joinery production and site works,and to build the QA/QC function itself — establishing SOPs, inspection manuals, and quality systems for the department. The role represents QA/QC directly to clients and consultants, and drives measurable reduction in non-conformances, rework, and wastage across the Joinery Division.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead inspection of joinery production and site works — from raw material to installation — applying deep technical knowledge of timber, veneer, laminates, finishes, hardware, and joinery methods to catch issues other inspectors would miss. Own the NCR process end-to-end: root-cause analysis, corrective/preventive action, and closure tracking; escalat systemic issues to the management with a proposed fix, not just a flag. Develop, document, and continuously improve QA/QC SOPs, inspection checklists, and quality manuals for the department, and drive their rollout and adoption across production and site teams. Build out the QA/QC department's structure, processes, and inspection standards in coordination with the management — including defining hold points, ITPs, and escalation paths. Verify supplier and subcontractor materials against approved samples and specifications, including batch/lot consistency checks. Act as the primary QA/QC point of contact for clients and consultants — hosting inspections, presenting quality data, and resolving disputes on workmanship or finish. Issue timely inspection and quality reports to management and clients, and maintain fully traceable quality records. Lead quality closeout at handover — snagging, de-snagging, and final documentation — to minimize client rejections. Mentor and guide junior QC inspectors on technical standards and inspection discipline. Contribute to R&D: explore and trial alternate raw materials and finishes, and propose practical, cost- or quality-improving alternatives to current specifications for management's consideration.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCED

Diploma or Degree in engineering, quality, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent extensive practical experience).

10+ years in QA/QC within joinery, fit-out, or furniture manufacturing, including senior or lead inspection responsibility.

Deep working knowledge of joinery materials and processes, quality standards, NCR/CAPA systems, and ISO 9001 principles.

Track record of developing SOPs, manuals, or quality systems, and of representing QA/QC directly to clients/consultants.

Genuine interest in materials R&D — trialling and evaluating alternate raw materials, finishes, and processes.
