Job summary

The role is focused on ensuring project quality systems meet ISO 9000 series requirements, ADNOC standards, company policies, technical integrity expectations, and fit‑for‑purpose delivery across assigned energy projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical expertise for the development and implementation of quality management requirements on assigned oil and energy projects.
  • Ensure project quality systems comply with ISO 9000 series standards, company policies, contractual agreements, technical integrity expectations, and project‑specific quality requirements.
  • Review and develop quality requirements to be followed by contractors and Project Management Consultants during design, development, construction, and commissioning.
  • Support prevention of non‑conformity across project phases by ensuring quality controls are planned, understood, implemented, and monitored.
  • Review contractor QA/QC plans, quality procedures, inspection plans, testing procedures, and inspection and test plans for alignment with company and project requirements.
  • Verify that design, materials, equipment, construction, and commissioning activities are compatible with approved specifications, standards, and quality expectations.
  • Monitor implementation of QA/QC activities throughout project phases and initiate preventive actions where risks, deviations, or weak controls are identified.
  • Participate in developing company strategies related to vendor inspection, field inspection, third‑party inspection agency selection, and critical equipment quality assurance.
  • Support the selection and performance monitoring of third‑party inspection agencies to ensure critical materials and equipment meet specified acceptance criteria.
  • Review and monitor PMC control over TPI agencies and provide feedback on areas of concern requiring remedial action.
  • Ensure adequate utilization, coordination, and control of TPI resources throughout vendor inspection, site inspection, and project quality verification activities.
  • Handle technical audits, compliance audits, PMT audit coordination, audit team support, interview arrangements, and physical verification visits.
  • Confirm that company quality requirements are established, implemented, verified, and evaluated across contractor and project delivery activities.
  • Review contractor internal and external audit programs to assess scope, frequency, effectiveness, and compliance with project quality requirements.
  • Participate in contractor audits and provide an independent assessment of audit quality, findings, corrective actions, and overall effectiveness.
  • Plan, supervise, and coordinate quality‑related activities in the assigned area to meet functional and project objectives.
  • Train and develop assigned staff on relevant QA/QC skills, quality systems, inspection practices, and project quality requirements.
  • Provide input for departmental and section budgets and support implementation of approved budgets and work plans.
  • Investigate and highlight significant budget variances related to quality activities to support performance monitoring and cost control.
  • Implement approved departmental and section policies, processes, systems, standards, and procedures in line with company and international standards.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable legislation, legal regulations, company procedures, project quality standards, and approved management systems.
  • Contribute to approved performance objectives for the department or section in line with the company performance framework.
  • Design and implement tools, techniques, and process improvements that increase quality, efficiency, consistency, and control in project operations.
  • Identify internal process improvements using best practices and ISO‑aligned standards to resolve functional challenges and improve quality performance.
  • Comply with HSE policies, procedures, controls, sustainability guidelines, applicable legislation, international standards, and ADNOC Code of Practices.
  • Provide accurate inputs for section MIS, progress reports, quality updates, audit summaries, and management reporting requirements.
Ideal Profile
  • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or an equivalent engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant professional experience, including hands‑on Quality Assurance and Quality Control experience.
  • Practical understanding of ISO 9000 series quality management requirements and their application across engineering and construction projects.
  • Experience reviewing QA/QC plans, inspection and test plans, contractor procedures, testing methods, audit programs, and compliance documentation.
  • Strong knowledge of project quality systems across design, procurement, materials, equipment, construction, and commissioning phases.
  • Ability to monitor contractor and PMC quality performance and identify risks, weaknesses, non‑conformities, and improvement opportunities.
  • Experience with vendor inspection, field inspection, third‑party inspection agencies, critical equipment quality checks, and material acceptance processes.
  • Understanding of technical audits, compliance audits, contractor audits, physical verification, audit findings, and corrective action follow‑up.
  • Strong knowledge of quality control standards, engineering specifications, project documentation, inspection records, and technical compliance requirements.
  • Ability to coordinate with contractors, PMC teams, PMT representatives, inspectors, engineering teams, construction teams, and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, reporting, problem‑solving, communication, and coordination skills.
  • Able to work in an Oil and Energy project environment where safety, quality, technical integrity, and documentation accuracy are essential.
