YOUR ROLE
As QC Inspector (E&I), you will
Electrical & Instrumentation Inspection
- Conduct inspections of electrical and instrumentation installations in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, ITPs, and international standards.
- Inspect cable tray installation, cable laying, termination works, panels, junction boxes, field instruments, and associated E&I systems.
- Witness and verify testing activities including: Insulation Resistance (IR) testing, Continuity testing, Loop checks, Functional testing, Pre-commissioning and commissioning activities
- Verify hazardous area installations and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.
- Review calibration certificates, test reports, and inspection records.
Fabrication Quality Inspection
- Perform inspections on structural steel, supports, skids, instrument stands, and fabrication works.
- Verify material traceability, material receiving inspections, and compliance with project requirements.
- Ensure fabrication activities conform to approved procedures, drawings, and quality standards.
- Monitor welding, dimensional inspections, surface preparation, coating, and final acceptance requirements.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Support implementation of Project Quality Plans (PQP), Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and Quality Control Procedures (QCPs).
- Participate in field quality audits, walk-downs, and punch list closure activities.
- Raise and monitor Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and assist in Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 requirements and project-specific quality standards.
- Coordinate inspections with clients, PMC representatives, and third-party inspectors.
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare and maintain inspection reports, quality records, loop folders, calibration logs, FAT/SAT documentation, and test packages.
- Verify completeness and accuracy of turnover dossiers and final quality documentation.
- Assist QA/QC Engineers and Project QA/QC Management in maintaining the Quality Management System.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Experience
- Minimum 6-8 years of QA/QC experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power, Industrial, or EPC/EPCM projects.
- Hands-on experience in: Electrical installation and inspection, Instrumentation installation and testing, Fabrication and structural steel quality inspections, Loop checking and commissioning support, Hazardous area inspection and verification
- Proven experience working with: EPC/EPCM project environments, Clients and PMC representatives, Third-party inspection agencies, Multidisciplinary construction teams
Education and Certifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- CSWIP / BGAS / NACE (advantageous)
- CompEx or Hazardous Area Inspection Certification (preferred)
- ISO 9001 Internal Auditor Certification
- Relevant QA/QC certifications within Oil & Gas projects
