Job summary

Target Engineering and Construction Co. LLC in Abu Dhabi seeks a Mechanical Quality Control Inspector to ensure mechanical works meet project specifications, codes, and client requirements across fabrication, installation, and commissioning.

You will inspect piping, welding, and equipment in oil & gas EPC projects, review ITPs, and coordinate with QA/QC teams. A Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering and CSWIP/BGAS preferred; 5+ years of experience highly desired.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in oil & gas EPC projects.
• Experience inspecting piping, welding, and mechanical equipment.
• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• CSWIP, BGAS or equivalent certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections of mechanical works including piping, static equipment and steel structures.
• Witness and verify testing activities (hydrotesting, pressure testing, etc.).
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, codes (ASME, API, ISO) and quality standards.
• Review inspection test plans (ITPs), method statements, and quality documents.
• Coordinate with QA/QC team, contractors, and client representatives.
• Prepare and maintain inspection reports, NCRs, and punch lists.
• Monitor fabrication and installation activities to ensure adherence to approved procedures.
• Participate in project audits and quality reviews.

As a Mechanical QC Inspector, you will play a critical role in maintaining quality assurance across fabrication, installation, and commissioning phases of EPC projects. Your expertise will ensure compliance with international codes and project specifications.

YOUR ROLE

As a QC Inspector (Mechanical), you will

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Experience

• Minimum 5+ years’ experience in oil & gas EPC projects
• Experience in inspection of piping, welding, and mechanical equipment

Education / Certifications / Licenses

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Certifications such as CSWIP, BGAS, or equivalent preferred

Skills and Competencies

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Strong attention to detail and reporting skills
• Strong knowledge of international codes and standards (ASME, API, ISO)
