Job summary

Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank PJSC is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer in Abu Dhabi to ensure software quality through manual and automated testing. You will review requirements, build and run test scripts, identify defects, and collaborate with development teams, with domain focus on TradeNet, GTN, stock markets and OMS.

The role requires experience with JIRA and automation tools like Micro Focus UFT and Test Complete, plus scripting in VBScript and Java and strong SQL skills.

Responsibilities

• Working with Middleware ESB integration, Core banking, SMS Gateway, Reuters, ETLs and BO reports
• Test Case Preparation, Test Case Execution, System and Integration Testing, UAT, Regression Testing and Performance Testing
• Building continuous testing pipeline in DevOps using Jenkins, GIT, etc.
• Maintaining automation frameworks for various applications
• Automation tools for API/Web Service testing (UFT, Test Complete)
• Monitor server performance counters and analyze results
• Test/Defect management using ALM, Quality Center, JIRA, Clear Quest
• Write and develop scripts in VB Script and Java
• Strong knowledge of banking apps and batch processes
• Identify and troubleshoot performance issues
• Update scripts/test suites for AUT across releases
• Execute automation scripts during regressions; report status to automation lead
• Provide test execution and automation status reports
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Role : Quality Assurance Engineer
Location : Abu Dhabi

Role Purpose:

Responsible for ensuring software quality through manual and automated testing. Key duties include reviewing requirements, building and executing test scripts, identifying defects, and collaborating with development teams. This role requires experience with tools like JIRA, and domain expertise in TradeNet, GTN, stock markets, and order management systems (OMS). Familiarity with banking systems and agile methodologies is also essential.

Key Accountabilities of the role

• Working with Middleware ESB integration, Core banking, SMS Gateway, Reuters, ETLs and BO reports
• Test Cases Preparation, Test Cases Execution, System and Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing, Regression Testing and Performance Testing
• Building continuous testing pipeline in DevOps using tools like Jenkins, GIT, etc.
• Understanding, enhancing and maintaining the existing automation frameworks for different applications.
• Functional and API / Web Service Automation tools like Micro Focus-UFT (GUI & API) and Test Complete.
• Monitor & analyze of server performance counters like CPU, Memory, deadlocks, connections/threads & etc.
• Test management and Defect management tools like Micro Focus – ALM, Quality Center, JIRA and Clear Quest.
• Strong expertise in Scripting & Development Languages like VB Script and Java.
• Strong functional knowledge of banking applications and batch processes.
• Identify and recommend troubleshooting mechanics for performance issues.
• Identify workaround/possible approach to overcome the showstoppers and meet the expectations.
• Good knowledge of database systems (Oracle, Sybase, SQL etc..) and able to write SQL queries to validate the backend transactions.
• Good domain knowledge on Banking and financial applications.
• Updating the scripts and test suites for AUT (Application under Test), for different releases and Change requests.
• Executing the automation scripts during regression cycles. Communicating issues and defects identified during execution with the Functional Team.
• Providing test execution and automation status reports to automation lead.
• Strong communication, customer focus, excellent problem-solving skills and analytical skills.
