Job summary

INVEST BANK P.S.C is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure robust and user-friendly applications through functional and automated testing. You will work in agile pods, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and support UAT to verify business requirements are met.

Responsibilities

• Develop test scenarios and test cases based on requirements and solution design.
• Conduct functional testing of applications to identify defects and ensure functionality.
• Perform end-to-end functional and integration testing and support user acceptance testing.
• Develop and execute automated test scripts to ensure quality and performance.
• Continuously improve and enhance the automation suite in line with changes.
• Define and measure automated functional coverage with the test suite.
• Work within agile pods, project teams, collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Identify, analyse, and mitigate risks related to automation framework and tools.
• Develop mitigation plans to address potential quality and delivery issues.
• Maintain and enhance the test automation framework.
• Train the team on the test automation framework and guidelines.
• Enable and support automation testers.
• Optimize testing and test automation processes for maximum efficiency.
• Monitor and report on testing activities and automation progress, addressing issues.

Job Purpose

The primary purpose of the Quality Assurance Engineer role is to ensure the quality and functionality of applications through both functional and automated testing This involves working within agile pods project teams collaborating with various teams and performing end to end functional testing and supporting business users during user acceptance testing The Quality Assurance Engineer will act as a key contributor to the project team maintaining clear communication and alignment with the project s goals This role is critical in ensuring that the company s applications solutions are robust efficient and user-friendly Develop Test scenarios and test cases based on the requirements and solution design.Conduct functional testing of applications to identify defects and ensure functionality is working as expected. Perform end to end functional and integration testing, support business with user acceptance testing to ensure that applications meet business requirements and user expectations. Develop and execute automated test scripts to ensure the quality and performance of various applications. Continuously improve and enhance the automation suite in alignment with the changes or enhancements implemented Define and measure project automated functional coverage with automated test suite. Work within agile pods, project teams, collaborating with cross-functional teams, product owners, and other project stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of new features. Identify, analyse, and mitigate risks related to automation framework and tools. Develop mitigation plan to address potential quality and delivery issues. Maintain and enhance the test automation framework Train the team on the test automation framework and guidelines Enable and support the automation testers Optimize testing and test automation processes for maximum efficiency and effectiveness. Monitor and report on the progress of testing activities, test automation, identifying and addressing any issues or risks. Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices. Drive innovation to enhance testing methodologies and tools. Ensure that all testing activities are compliant with regulatory requirements and aligned with the company's risk management framework.
