Job summary

Givaudan in Dubai is seeking a QC Laboratory Assistant to support the Quality and Compounding teams with daily lab operations, ensuring orderly records and compliant procedures. Based in Media City, you will join a creative, driven team contributing to our lab excellence.

Your profile includes a technical high school diploma, 1–2 years in a similar lab role, familiarity with lab equipment and SAP/Office tools, and a proactive safety mindset.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma in a technical field (Chemistry, Biology, etc).
• 1–2 years of overall work experience in a similar position.
• Background in an Analytical or laboratory environment.
• Good computer knowledge with SAP, Databases and Microsoft Office.
• Experience using laboratory equipment, glassware and basic instruments.
• Familiarity with laboratory techniques and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Store and retrieve retained samples from Kardex.
• Receive raw materials using Gildas software.
• Re-pack raw materials into containers and store in Kardex.
• Retrieve raw materials to support various work stations.
• Remove expired materials and retained samples from Kardex.
• Perform and record daily calibration checks on analytical equipment.
• Prepare samples and load them into instruments for quality control measurements (e.g., specific gravity, refractive index).
• Maintain a clean, safe and organized 5S workplace.

QC Laboratory Assistant – Your future position?

As a QC Laboratory Assistant with Givaudan, the global leader in fragrance and flavor industry, you will support the Quality team and the Compounding team with day to day lab operations in the efficient and organised manner, according to business needs and EH&S policies.

Based in our Dubai office in Media City, you will join a creative, passionate, and winning team, and support our continued success story in the SAMEA region.

In this exciting role, you will:

• Store and retrieve retained samples from the Kardex
• Receive raw materials using Gildas software
• Re-pack raw materials into multiple containers and store them into the Kardex
• Retrieve raw materials from Kardex to support different work stations
• Remove expired raw materials and retained samples from the Kardex
• Perform and record daily calibration control checks on analytical equipments
• Prepare samples and load them into various analytical instruments to conduct a variety of quality control measurements (e.g. specific gravity, refractive index, flashpoint)
• Adhere to all internal safety guidelines, apply the correct personal protective equipment at all times and report safety related violations / unsafe acts and situations
• Maintain the workplace in a clean, hygienic, organised (5S) and safe manner

Your professional profile includes:

• MinimumHigh School Diploma within a technical field such as Chemistry, Biology etc.
• Overall work experience of 1 to 2 years in a similar position
• Previous background in an Analytical or laboratory environment
• Good computer knowledge with such systems as SAP, Databases, Microsoft Office products
• Experience of using laboratory equipment, glassware, basic instruments
• Basic Knowledge of chemical substances and laboratory safety
• Familiarity with laboratory techniques required
• Operational experience and strong affinity on laboratory system, analytical equipment and instruments such as weighing balance, Densitometer, Refractometer, Moisture balances
• Potential sensory capability preferred
