Job summary

Givaudan in Dubai seeks an Evaluator to deliver fragrance winners to Sales by managing briefs, evaluating candidates, and selecting successful fragrances while building strong internal relationships.

You will lead creation and market understanding activities, motivate perfumers, develop library knowledge, and present olfactive insights to clients, leveraging English and Arabic skills and a passion for perfumes.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in perfumery with 5+ years of experience managing evaluation projects in Fine Fragrances.
• Good knowledge and passion for fragrances.
• Consumer understanding.
• Team player with comfort in diverse cultures.
• Strong project management skills.
• English and Arabic proficiency.
• Knowledge of the Saudi market.

Responsibilities

• Manage internal resources according to project priority by immediate superior.
• Set up action plans and timetables for each brief.
• Set general fragrance directions, organise evaluation sessions, evaluate candidates and provide feedback to perfumers.
• Coordinate with other departments for specific brief needs.
• Ensure feedback to the sales teams.

Evaluator

Due to increasing Fine Fragrances business activity and to further build upon our continued success in the region, we are recruiting for an Evaluator. You will be based in our Regional Creative Centre in Dubai and report to the Senior Evaluator. You will provide fragrance winners to Sales by managing briefs, evaluating, and selecting successful fragrances for our clients while developing relationships with internal teams.

In This Exciting Role, You Will Be Responsible For

Projects

• Manage internal resources according to project priority by immediate superior
• Set up action plans and timetables for each brief
• Set general fragrance directions, organise evaluation sessions, evaluate candidates and provide feedback to perfumers
• Coordinate with other departments for specific brief needs.
• Ensure feedback to the sales teams.

Creation

• Motivate and stimulate perfumers to achieve optimum creation
• Create confidence and inspiration
• Investigate potentially promising olfactive routes with perfumers
• Participate in the elaboration of the Library
• Develop a good olfactive knowledge of marketing brands
• Feed marketing with the olfactive judgement of strategic marketing products and be ready to give olfactive presentations to clients.

Market understanding

• Develop a better understanding of consumer attitudes thanks to market research
• Develop an understanding of the client’ culture thanks to marketing
• Feed the affiliates with the best themes created to keep them up to date with the collection and use local
• Creative Fragrance Managers to upgrade the local taste

Your Professional Profile Includes

• Advanced degree in perfumery with 5+ years of relevant experience in managing evaluation projects in the Fine Fragrances category
• Good knowledge and passion for the world of fragrances
• Consumer understanding
• A team player and comfortable with cultural diversity

• English and Arabic proficiency
• Knowledge of the Saudi market
