Job summary

SGS is hiring an experienced QC Inspector – Welding & Structural for offshore projects in Abu Dhabi. You will perform welding and structural inspections during fabrication, assembly and installation, ensuring compliance with WPS, ITPs, drawings and project specs.

The role requires 10+ years total experience with 5+ years post-CSWIP/AWS, offshore topside & jacket fabrication, and CSWIP 3.1/3.2 and AWS certifications.

Qualifications

• 10+ years total experience in mechanical engineering roles.
• 5+ years post-CSWIP / AWS experience.
• Proven offshore topside & jacket fabrication experience.
• Familiar with offshore codes and standards (AWS D1.1, ASME, EEMUA 158).
• CSWIP 3.1 / 3.2 Certificates and AWS certification are mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding and structural inspections during fabrication, assembly and installation activities.
• Verify compliance with WPS, ITPs, drawings and project specifications.
• Monitor and witness NDT activities and coordinate with NDT contractors.
• Ensure fabrication activities comply with offshore codes and standards (AWS D1.1, ASME, EEMUA 158).
• Conduct inspections for offshore topside and jacket fabrication, including fit-up and dimensional checks.
