Job summary

Orbit ISS is seeking an experienced QC Inspector Offshore Structure to join our team for ongoing offshore projects. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in structural inspection, welding quality control, coating inspection, and offshore fabrication standards.

Candidates with Aramco project experience and the ability for immediate mobilization will be given priority. The role requires extensive field inspections, reporting, and conformity to ITPs and QCPs, with strict HSE adherence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in QC inspection for offshore structural fabrication or offshore construction.
• CSWIP 3.1 or CSWIP 3.2 certification.
• BGAS coating/painting certification.
• Aramco project experience is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of offshore structural codes (AWS D1.1 API ASME ISO).
• Ability to mobilize immediately.

Responsibilities

• Inspect offshore structural fabrication, assembly, and installation activities to ensure full compliance with project specifications, international standards and client requirements.
• Review and verify welding procedures (WPS, PQR, WPQ) and ensure welders are qualified as per project standards.
• Perform visual welding inspection and dimensional checks on fabricated structures.
• Inspect materials, consumables and equipment to ensure compliance with approved quality plans and project requirements.
• Monitor structural fabrication processes including fit-up, alignment, cutting, beveling and final weld inspection.
• Carry out coating and painting inspections as per BGAS/Aramco standards including surface preparation, environmental checks, DFT measurements and final acceptance.
• Prepare and maintain inspection reports, checklists, NCRs and other quality documentation.
• Coordinate with QA/QC teams, construction supervisors and client representatives for inspection approvals.
• Ensure proper implementation of project-specific ITPs, QCPs and method statements.
• Support offshore site audits and surveillance activities and ensure all work is performed according to HSE standards.
• Verify material traceability, heat numbers, MTCs and welding traceability throughout fabrication and installation.
• Participate in punch listing, mechanical completion checks and final acceptance inspections.
• Ensure all inspections are documented, logged and submitted to the client in a timely manner.

• Ability to mobilize immediately.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
• Strong understanding of offshore HSE requirements.
• UAE Drivers License is mandatory.
