Job summary

Sungrow MENA & Central Asia is seeking a field service engineer to provide on-site and remote support for electrical equipment. You will diagnose issues, perform installations, repairs and maintenance, and coordinate with the project team during commissioning and site acceptance.

The role requires strong customer orientation, English communication, and willingness to travel locally and regionally. Experience in power electronics, UPS, drives, solar inverters and related equipment is preferred.

Qualifications

• Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent required.
• 4–5 years of industry experience with electrical equipment.
• Experience in claim handling, solution finding and execution.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of dispatched customer issues.
• Provide service and customer support during field visits or dispatches, including remote first-line support.
• Run diagnosis on errors or technical problems.
• Perform on-site installation, repair, maintenance and tests, and upgrades.
• Coordinate with Project Management during commissioning and site acceptance services.
• Follow defined procedures, processes and health and safety rules.
• Feed back frequent service reports and suggest corrective actions.
• Assist in QA documentation and site procedures.
• Occasional on-call duties including weekends and nights.
• Travel locally and within the region for deputation on projects.

Job description

Interface between our customers, regional team Sungrow and HQ Team Sungrow.

Take ownership of dispatched customer issues.

Provide service and customer support during field visits or dispatches, also remote support as first instance support over call or other medium.

Run a diagnosis on errors or technical problems.

Deliver support and contribute service solutions for our customers.

Perform all on-site installation, repair, maintenance, and test tasks as well as upgrades or rework activities.

Support the coordinate with Project Management team during commissioning and site acceptance services.

Follow operational procedures, processes and practices as defined, documented and consistently applied.

Follow the applicable health and Safety instructions and regulations.

Ensure up-to-date documentation, work instructions and processes for existing and coming service contracts and agreements.

Support MENA Service Management by feeding back frequent and analytical service reports with each job and make suggestions for corrective activities.

Achieve consistent customer satisfaction ratings and respond appropriate to customer feedback on areas for improvement.

Prepare documentations and work instructions as per site procedure and requirement.

Participate in the claim management and RMA process through company application platform.

Documentation for QA, customer feedback and analysis support.

Take over randomly on call duties, partly on weekends and nights.

Skills & Requirements:

Education as Electrical Engineer.

Good communication skills in English.

Experience in claim handling, solution finding and execution.

Experience dealing with customers in critical situations.

Ability to work independently and structured in an international environment.

Strong customer orientation, good discipline, team spirit and self-motivation.

Good knowledge of MS Office and comparable software tools.

Minimum 2 years of experience in field service and maintenance of power electronic equipment such as UPS, Drives, and Solar Inverters.

Proven experience in troubleshooting and resolving issues on-site for power electric systems.

Fair knowledge of industry communication tools such as MODBUS, TCP, IEC-104.

Willing to work on call duty AND to travel locally and within the region.

Deputation at site for the project execution for long time.

Experience: 4-5 Years of industry Experience with Electrical equipment.

Nice-to-have:

Battery storage Equipment Experience Such As PCS inverter, BMS.

PV Solar equipment knowledge such as PV inverters, SCB, Module and performance parameter.

Knowledge of Transformer and Switchgear for Medium level voltage.

Scada communication knowledge - Arabic language speaking and understanding.
