Job summary

Careers International in Dubai is seeking an experienced QA/QC Manager with strong expertise in interior design and fit-out projects. You will implement and maintain quality standards across all works, ensuring materials, drawings, specifications, and client requirements are met.

You will develop and monitor Project Quality Plans, inspection and test plans, and certification of finishes while coordinating with consultants, clients, subcontractors and site teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or related field.
• 7-12 years of experience in QA/QC with significant interior fit-out project experience.
• Experience in commercial, residential, hospitality, retail or office fit-out projects.
• Strong knowledge of architectural finishes, joinery, carpentry, ceilings, partitions, flooring, painting and other fit-out activities.
• Strong understanding of QA/QC procedures, ITPs, method statements, checklists, NCRs and inspection processes.
• Experience coordinating with consultants, clients, subcontractors, suppliers and project teams.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural and MEP drawings.
• Knowledge of relevant construction quality standards and specifications; ISO 9001 knowledge/certification is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Project Quality Plans (PQP) and QA/QC procedures.
• Establish quality standards and inspection procedures for interior fit-out projects.
• Review project drawings, specifications, method statements and material submittals.
• Prepare and implement Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and checklists.
• Conduct regular inspections of site activities and completed works.
• Ensure all works are executed according to approved drawings, specifications and project requirements.
• Monitor quality of joinery, carpentry, flooring, ceilings, partitions, painting, doors, furniture and finishes.
• Coordinate material inspections and ensure materials comply with samples and specifications.
• Manage and close NCRs, observations and corrective/preventive actions.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, project managers, site engineers, subcontractors and suppliers on quality matters.
• Conduct internal quality audits and site inspections; monitor subcontractor quality performance.
• Maintain QA/QC documentation, inspection records, test reports, approvals and quality registers.
• Review and approve quality-related documentation submitted by subcontractors.
• Identify quality risks and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure proper inspection and documentation at various project stages.
• Participate in project meetings and provide regular quality status updates to management.
• Assist with project handover, snagging and final quality documentation.
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards and project-specific quality requirements.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of fit-out works quality control procedures inspections documentation and coordination with consultants clients subcontractors and site teams.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Architecture Construction Management or a related field.
  
• 712 years of experience in QA/QC with significant experience in interior design and fit-out projects.
  
• Strong experience with commercial residential hospitality retail or office fit-out projects.
  
• Good knowledge of architectural finishes joinery carpentry ceilings partitions flooring painting and other fit-out activities.
  
• Strong understanding of QA/QC procedures ITPs method statements checklists NCRs and inspection processes.
  
• Experience coordinating with consultants clients subcontractors suppliers and project teams.
  
• Ability to read and interpret architectural structural and MEP drawings.
  
• Knowledge of relevant construction quality standards and specifications.
  
• ISO 9001 knowledge/certification is an advantage.
  
• Strong documentation reporting problem-solving and communication skills.
  
• Proficiency in MS Office particularly Excel and Word.
  
• UAE/GCC experience in interior fit-out is highly preferred.
  

Required Skills:

Bachelors Degree or Diploma in a relevant field. Minimum 58 years of experience as a Document Controller. Mandatory experience in the Construction industry. Strong experience handling project documentation technical documents drawings and correspondence. Proficiency in MS Office especially Excel. Experience with document control systems/software will be an advantage. Strong knowledge of document numbering revision control transmittals and document registers. Excellent organizational and coordination skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects/documents simultaneously. Good communication skills in English.
