Job summary

WSP in the Middle East is seeking a senior QA/QC Manager to support Owner’s Engineer on the Fujairah IWP project, overseeing quality assurance and control across design, procurement, construction, testing and commissioning. You will manage QA/QC documentation, punch item closures and interfaces with EPC Contractor teams.

The role requires 15–20 years in large industrial projects, with at least 5 years in a QA/QC leadership position, and preferably SWRO or large-scale water treatment experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
• 15–20 years of experience in large industrial or infrastructure projects.
• At least 5 years in a QA/QC Manager or similar leadership role.
• Proven experience with SWRO desalination or large-scale water treatment projects.
• Strong knowledge of desalination practices and construction.
• Experience in the Middle East, preferably UAE.
• Proficiency in project planning tools (Primavera P6, MS Project).
• Certifications such as PMP or NEBOSH preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support Owner’s Engineer in reviewing EPC Contractor quality management for design, procurement, construction, testing and commissioning.
• Review project quality plans, inspection and test plans, method statements and submittals.
• Coordinate with site supervision to monitor construction quality and testing activities.
• Identify quality concerns and track corrective actions through to close-out.
• Support review of quality records, inspection/test and handover documentation.
• Maintain QA/QC records and reporting inputs for monthly project reporting.
• Coordinate with engineers, HSE, document control and EPC Contractor to ensure consistent quality requirements.
• Assist in pre-commissioning, commissioning and handover readiness reviews.
• Contribute to lessons learned and continuous improvement for quality performance.
