Job summary

Nova International General Contracting in the UAE seeks an experienced QA/QC Manager to establish and maintain the QMS across projects, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and local regulations.

You will lead QA/QC engineers, review ITPs and material submittals, coordinate audits, drive continuous improvement, and report performance to senior management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Master’s degree is an advantage.
• 15–20 years of QA/QC experience in construction.
• Minimum 5+ years in a managerial/leadership role.
• Experience on large-scale UAE/GCC projects preferred.
• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification preferred.
• Membership in engineering bodies is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of construction standards and QA/QC procedures.
• Familiarity with UAE regulatory frameworks and compliance.
• Proficiency in QA/QC documentation and reporting tools.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Quality Plan (PQP) per ISO 9001 and project requirements.
• Ensure construction activities comply with drawings, codes, and UAE regulations.
• Lead internal and external QA/QC audits and implement corrective actions.
• Oversee QA/QC teams across multiple projects (civil, structural, mechanical).
• Review ITPs, method statements, and material submittals for approval.
• Monitor site inspections and ensure adherence to approved procedures.
• Coordinate with project managers and stakeholders on quality matters.
• Provide training on quality standards to site teams.
• Maintain quality documentation including NCRs and audit reports.
• Prepare QA/QC performance reports for senior management.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation for quality assurance.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement.

Job Description

QA/QC Manager responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS) across all construction projects. The role ensures compliance with contractual, regulatory, and international quality standards while driving continuous improvement in construction processes and project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Quality Plan (PQP) in line with ISO 9001 standards and project requirements.
• Ensure all construction activities comply with specifications, codes, and local regulatory authority requirements in the UAE.
• Lead internal and external audits, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are implemented effectively.
• Oversee QA/QC activities across multiple construction projects (civil, structural, mechanical, or infrastructure works).
• Review and approve Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, and material submittals.
• Monitor site inspections and ensure adherence to approved procedures and standards.
• Lead and manage QA/QC engineers, inspectors, and document control teams.
• Coordinate with project managers, consultants, and stakeholders on quality-related matters.
• Provide training and guidance to site teams on quality standards and best practices.
• Maintain quality documentation, including NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), CARs, and audit reports.
• Ensure proper tracking, closure, and reporting of quality issues.
• Prepare regular QA/QC performance reports for senior management.
• Identify quality risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement across projects.
• Analyze defects and implement lessons learned to prevent recurrence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
• Master’s degree is an advantage
• 15–20 years of experience in QA/QC within the construction industry
• Minimum 5+ years in a managerial or leadership role
• Experience in large-scale projects in UAE or GCC preferred
• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification preferred
• Membership in a recognized engineering body is an advantage
• Strong knowledge of construction standards, specifications, and QA/QC procedures
• Familiarity with UAE regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements
• Proficiency in QA/QC documentation and reporting tools
