Job summary

KEO International is seeking a talented QA/QC Manager in Abu Dhabi to lead quality assurance and control throughout a prestigious waterfront residential development. You will oversee contractor quality performance, review documentation, and drive continuous improvement on site.

Responsibilities

Our newest opportunity is for a talented QA/QC Manager to join our team based in Abu Dhabi, UAE supporting the delivery of a prestigious waterfront residential development comprising luxury villas and premium residential communities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and implementing quality assurance and quality control processes throughout the construction phase, ensuring works are delivered in accordance with approved designs, contract requirements, specifications, quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Working as part of the Consultant team, the QA/QC Manager will oversee contractor quality performance, review quality documentation, lead inspections and audits, monitor compliance, and support successful project delivery, handover and Defects Liability Period activities.

The ideal candidate will have extensive consultancy or PMC experience delivering large-scale luxury residential, villa, waterfront or high-end mixed-use developments.

We envisage success in this role to include;

  • Quality Management
    • Develop, implement and maintain project-specific Quality Assurance and Quality Control procedures.
    • Ensure compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, contract requirements and applicable standards.
    • Monitor contractor compliance with approved Quality Plans, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements and procedures.
    • Review and approve contractor quality documentation, including material submittals, inspection records and quality reports.
    • Establish quality objectives, performance indicators and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Construction Quality Control
    • Lead quality inspections and audits across all construction activities.
    • Monitor workmanship, materials and installation processes to ensure compliance with approved documentation.
    • Review Inspection Requests (IRs), Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), Corrective Action Reports (CARs) and quality observations.
    • Ensure defects, non-conformities and outstanding quality issues are identified, tracked and closed.
    • Conduct regular site inspections and quality surveillance activities.
    • Verify that testing and inspection requirements are completed in accordance with project specifications.
    • Support commissioning, practical completion and final handover processes.
  • Contractor & Consultant Coordination
    • Act as the primary quality interface between the Consultant, Contractor, Client and project stakeholders.
    • Review contractor Quality Management Systems and monitor implementation on site.
    • Coordinate with discipline engineers to ensure technical compliance across Architectural, Structural, MEP, Civil and specialist works.
    • Participate in project meetings, progress reviews and quality workshops.
    • Provide technical guidance and support to site supervision teams.
    • Promote a culture of quality, accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Reporting & Documentation
    • Prepare quality reports, audit reports, inspection summaries and performance dashboards.
    • Monitor trends, recurring issues and areas requiring improvement.
    • Maintain accurate quality records throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Support review of testing records, commissioning documentation, O&M manuals and as-built submissions.
    • Assist with project close-out, handover documentation and Defects Liability Period inspections.

Qualifications

To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include 15 years work experience partnered with a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.

  • Proven experience as a QA/QC Manager on major building projects.
  • Strong consultancy, PMC or supervision experience preferred.
  • Experience delivering luxury villas, high-end residential, waterfront or mixed-use developments.
