Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in contracting companies in steel fabrication, refineries, petrochemicals, or storage tanks.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain Project Quality Plan (PQP) and Inspection & Test Plans (ITP).
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, codes and standards (ASME, API, AWS, ISO, etc.).
• Review and approve fabrication drawings, WPS, PQR, and welding procedures.
• Monitor and inspect fabrication activities: structural steel, plate works, piping, storage tank erection.
• Conduct stage-wise inspections: fit-up, welding, dimensional, final inspections.
• Coordinate and witness NDT activities (RT, UT, PT, MT).
• Liaise with client representatives, third-party inspectors and consultants.
• Document quality records and reports properly.
• Prepare and submit QA/QC reports, NCRs and corrective action reports.
• Conduct internal quality audits and toolbox talks related to quality.
• Ensure material traceability and review mill test certificates (MTCs).
• Support site erection and commissioning activities from quality perspective.

We are seeking a highly experienced QA/QC Engineer with strong expertise in Steel Fabrication (Structural / Plate / Piping) for contracting companies involved in Refineries, Petrochemicals, Fertilizer Plants, and Storage Tank Erection Projects. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring quality compliance as per project specifications, international standards, and client requirements.

F2F Interview in Kochi & Mumbai in 1st week of March.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain Project Quality Plan (PQP) and Inspection & Test Plans (ITP).

Requirements

   • Refineries

2. Strong knowledge of:
   • ASME Section VIII, IX
   • API 650 / 620
   • AWS D1.1
   • ISO Quality Standards
3. Experience in handling client inspections in Middle East projects.
4. Familiar with welding inspections, NDT coordination, and dimensional control.
5. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
6. Good documentation and reporting skills.
7. Strong coordination and communication skills.
