Job description

Job Purpose

The QA/QC Engineer (Civil) will be responsible for ensuring quality standards across all phases of building construction projects—from substructure works through handover.

Requirements / Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in the UAE (at least 5 years in mid/high-rise building projects).

Responsibilities

• Implement and oversee quality assurance and quality control procedures throughout all construction stages (substructure, PT slabs, waterproofing, façade, interior and exterior finishes).
• Prepare, review, and update Method Statements, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and checklists.
• Manage material submissions and approvals in line with project requirements.
• Raise and review Work Inspection Requests (WIRs) and Material Inspection Requests (MIRs).
• Coordinate with third-party laboratories for testing and verification.
• Maintain and monitor concrete pour cards to ensure quality compliance.
• Raise and close out internal NCRs and support consultants in closing NCRs.
• Conduct factory visits to inspect quality of materials under production when required.Liaise with subcontractors, construction (Civil & MEP) teams, and consultants to ensure all QA/QC processes are followed.
• Handle internal and external quality audits, ensuring full compliance with ISO and company standards.
• Develop and implement Project Quality Plans (PQP), QA/QC policies, and procedures.
• Carry out periodic site visits and inspections to verify compliance with QA/QC standards.Strong technical knowledge across the full project lifecycle—from substructure to handover.
• Proficiency in preparing Method Statements, ITPs, PQPs, checklists, and QA/QC procedures.
• Experience in coordinating with consultants, subcontractors, and third-party laboratories.
• Familiarity with concrete quality control, material inspections, NCR management, and audits.
• Excellent knowledge of UAE construction standards and quality regulations.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
