Job summary

Riyadh Cables Group in Abu Dhabi invites a seasoned QA/QC engineer to ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, ITPs, and quality requirements across cable installation projects. The role coordinates with clients, contractors, and project teams, verifies calibration of measuring equipment, and monitors subcontractor performance within the company's QMS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant QA/QC experience in construction, infrastructure, or HV/EHV cable projects.
• Previous experience in TRANSCO/TAQA transmission projects is highly preferred.
• Experience in 132kV–400kV cable laying and transmission projects is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Review project specifications, approved drawings, method statements, ITPs, and quality requirements before commencement of work.
• Coordinate with the Client/Consultant, Project Manager, Construction Team, and subcontractors for all quality-related activities.
• Ensure cable installation is carried out according to approved cable pulling calculations, manufacturer recommendations, and project requirements.
• Ensure all measuring and testing equipment is properly calibrated and has valid calibration certificates.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure compliance with the project's Quality Management System.

Education
